Student Nurse Care Partner - Seton 3 - Per Diem

About the role#

The Student Nurse Care Partner position on Seton 3 provides an opportunity to support patient care teams in a hospital setting. This per diem role involves working under the direction of an RN or LPN to assist with daily patient needs, monitor patient conditions, and maintain a safe, orderly clinical environment.

What you'll do#

• Participate in patient care by assisting with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
• Perform and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, heights, and weights.
• Monitor and observe patients, including those requiring 1:1 observation or those who are confused or disoriented.
• Support clinical tasks such as performing EKGs, collecting specimens, and assisting with simple dressing changes or catheter removal.
• Communicate changes in a patient's condition immediately to the supervising RN or LPN.
• Maintain a clean and tidy patient environment and assist with equipment transport and storage.
• Answer call bells and participate in patient rounding to ensure safety and satisfaction.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a licensed nurse education program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and telephones for professional communication.

• Compensation: Pay rate ranges from $17.34 to $24.32 per hour.
