Pharmacy Intern - Pharmacy - Per Diem

About the role#

Pharmacy Interns perform professional pharmacy functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This per diem role involves supporting clinical and operational pharmacy tasks in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Interns are expected to demonstrate growth in interpreting patient data and providing pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory settings.

What you'll do#

• Process medication orders and perform clinical evaluations.
• Manage inventory control and provide drug information.
• Assist with drug distribution and IV compounding.
• Support pharmacy operations by performing technician or inventory control clerk duties as needed.
• Ensure departmental compliance with federal and state regulatory standards.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with at least 2 years of completed general education requirements.
• Current NY State Pharmacy Intern License in good standing.
• Prior experience in institutional pharmacy is preferred.
• Candidates with less experience who are committed to a career in pharmacy may be considered if positions are available.
