Behavioral Health Counselor - Student Assistance Program - Full Time

About the role#

This full-time position focuses on providing behavioral health counseling and education, specifically centered around substance use prevention for students. You will work directly with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to ensure collaborative care from the initiation of treatment through discharge.

What you'll do#

• Provide behavioral health counseling services.
• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate the progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Maintain thorough and confidential clinical records.
• Connect patients with community resources and therapeutic activities.
• Attend school-related meetings as requested by the district.

What you'll need#

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in behavioral health, psychology, public health, health administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in behavioral health counseling.
• Ability to conduct patient assessments and knowledge of community resources.
• No professional licensing is required for this role.
