About the role#
This is a hands-on internship focused on agronomy field operations. You will work directly with customers to monitor crop health and support general agronomy functions. This role requires regular travel to customer fields to collect data and provide accurate reports.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields to monitor health and identify weeds, insects, or diseases.
- Use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques and GPS technology for scouting.
- Document findings through detailed reports and photographs.
- Discuss results with customers and agronomy specialists.
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Attend technical training sessions and company meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture and in good academic standing.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel independently.
- Capacity to walk through crop fields and lift 51-70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
