About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomy Intern to join our team in Maquoketa, Iowa. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for students pursuing a degree in Agriculture. You will gain hands-on experience in field operations and crop monitoring while working directly with our agronomy specialists and customers.
What you'll do#
- Perform regular inspections of customer crop fields to monitor overall health and conditions.
- Use Integrated Pest Management techniques and GPS technology to identify weeds, insects, and diseases.
- Document findings with photographs and complete detailed inspection reports.
- Discuss scouting results with agronomy specialists and customers to answer questions.
- Assist with general facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Operate company vehicles to travel to various field locations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture.
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You hold a valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.
- You are able to travel independently to job sites.
- You are comfortable working in various weather conditions and can lift 51-70 pounds.
