About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy field operations. You will work directly with customers and staff to monitor crop health and support general agronomy functions. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position located in Garner, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Inspect customer crop fields to monitor health and ongoing conditions.
- Use Integrated Pest Management techniques and GPS technology to identify weeds, insects, and diseases.
- Document and photograph findings to complete accurate inspection reports.
- Discuss results and findings with customers to answer questions.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Travel to designated field locations using a company vehicle.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture degree program.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds.
- Capability to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, or wet environments.
