About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy and agricultural operations. You will work directly with customers and agronomy specialists to monitor crop health and support local farming operations. This is a full-time, paid position based in Wellsburg, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Perform regular inspections of customer crop fields to monitor health and identify threats like weeds, insects, or diseases.
- Use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques and GPS technology to scout fields.
- Document findings, take photographs, and complete detailed inspection reports for customers and staff.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Attend scheduled technical training sessions and team meetings.
- Drive a company vehicle to reach various field locations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- A valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to walk crop fields for visual inspections.
- Physical ability to frequently lift 51-70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
