About the role#
The Exploring Agriculture Safety Intern will support safety, maintenance, and operational improvement initiatives at Evergreen FS. This role provides hands-on experience with asset management, preventive maintenance programs, and digital inspection systems. You will work alongside experienced professionals to improve equipment reliability and overall workplace safety.
What you'll do#
- Assist with routine safety inspections and workplace safety audits.
- Support safety documentation, inspection records, and maintenance tracking.
- Participate in hazard identification, incident prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver safety training materials and employee communications.
- Travel to company locations to support safety, maintenance, and operational improvement projects.
- Complete special projects as assigned and submit weekly activity reports.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree or certification in Agriculture, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from a community college, technical college, or university.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel independently, including overnight stays.
- Ability to work a minimum of 9-10 weeks during the Spring or Summer 2027 season.
