About the role#
The Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern position at AgVantage FS provides hands-on experience in the field and operational side of the agriculture industry. You will work under location management to learn the foundations of the GROWMARK System and prepare for a future career. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity for the Winter and Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Operate technology and equipment used for field research, crop monitoring, and scouting.
- Apply crop nutrition and protection products.
- Learn the processes for ordering, receiving, and managing inventory.
- Participate in all activities associated with the Exploring Agriculture Internship Program.
- Complete an operational project focused on improving business efficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Good academic standing at the start of the internship.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions and at elevated heights or platforms.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
