About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy and operations within the GROWMARK system. You will work under location management during the Summer of 2027 to learn the foundations of the agriculture industry. The role focuses on practical field work and operational tasks to prepare you for a future career.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Operate technology and equipment for field research and crop monitoring.
- Apply crop protection and nutrition products.
- Gain experience with inventory control, ordering, and receiving.
- Complete a project focused on improving business efficiencies and submit weekly activity reports.
- Participate in required internship program activities, including an orientation meeting in Bloomington, Illinois.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a degree or certification from a university, technical college, or community college and be in good academic standing.
- Ability to work a minimum of 9-10 weeks during the Summer 2027 season.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
