About the role#
This is a hands-on internship focused on agronomy and operations. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundations of the industry and prepare for a future career in agriculture. This position requires regular work in extreme weather conditions and at elevated heights.
What you'll do#
- Operate equipment and technology for field research and crop scouting.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Apply crop nutrition and protection products.
- Manage tasks related to ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and corporate policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- Good academic standing.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- The ability to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) and a commercial applicator’s license with required endorsements.
- Capability to travel independently and stay overnight when necessary.
- Ability to lift 51-70 pounds as needed.
