About the role#
Join St. Clair Service Company as an Agronomy Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience supporting agronomy operations and serving farmer-member customers. This role includes participation in the GROWMARK Internship Program, which features mentorship, professional development, networking, and a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Support agronomy operations and assist professionals in serving farmer-member customers.
- Conduct field scouting, monitor crop health, and collect field data.
- Assist with agronomy trials, plot work, field demonstrations, and research projects.
- Use precision agriculture tools and technology for scouting and data collection.
- Participate in customer visits, grower events, and educational opportunities.
- Support product inventory, ordering, and receiving.
- Travel to various locations to build relationships with employees and industry partners.
- Complete a summer internship project and participate in all program meetings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university.
- A strong interest in agronomy, crop production, and agriculture.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at elevated heights.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips.
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 weeks starting by May 24, 2027.

- Location: Belleville, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid position at $19 per hour.
- Required events: Orientation (May 24-25, 2027), Mid-Summer Meeting (June 28-30, 2027), and Conclusion Meeting (August 11-12, 2027).
