About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in agronomy operations. You will work under the direction of location management to learn the foundations of the industry and prepare for a future career in agriculture. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.
- Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
- Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
- Gain experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
- Work in various weather conditions and at elevated heights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program at a community college, technical college, or university.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator’s license.
- Ability to travel independently, including overnight trips when necessary.
- Capability to lift 51-70 pounds.
