About the role#
Griffis Residential is looking for a Summer Intern to join our team for an 11-week program. You will work on-site at a community in your market, gaining hands-on training in property management functions such as leasing, customer service, budgeting, and financial forecasting. This is a full-time role that requires you to balance daily operations with program-related projects.
What you'll do#
- Work with community teams to manage resident accounts and answer inquiries.
- Shadow leasing consultants to learn how to show apartments to prospective residents.
- Prepare materials for move-ins and move-outs.
- Handle day-to-day office tasks, including answering phones.
- Develop and present a capstone project that addresses a specific business need.
- Assist with apartment management operations and complete philanthropy projects.
- Travel to communities of various sizes for additional development.
- Learn and use multiple software tools for leasing and property management.
- Manage your time between on-site duties, projects, and meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
- Interest in Property Management, Hospitality, or Business Operations.
- Reliable transportation for travel to various local properties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Commitment to providing service and creating positive guest experiences.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proven dependability and reliability.
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and an inclusive work environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Anaheim, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through early August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, including weekends.
- Training: Availability to attend onboarding training during the first week of June is required.
