About the role#
Griffis Residential is seeking a Summer Intern for our Dallas, Texas location. This is an 11-week, full-time program running from June through early August 2027. You will work on-site at a residential community, gaining hands-on training in property management functions including leasing, budgeting, market pricing, and financial forecasting. You will also travel to various local communities to broaden your experience.
What you'll do#
- Work with community teams to manage resident accounts and answer inquiries.
- Shadow leasing consultants to learn how to show apartments to prospective residents.
- Prepare materials for move-ins and move-outs.
- Handle daily office tasks such as answering phones and preparing for tours.
- Assist with apartment management operations by working alongside on-site associates.
- Complete operations and philanthropy projects.
- Develop and present a capstone project that addresses a real business need with actionable recommendations.
- Manage your time between on-site duties, projects, and program meetings.
- Learn to use online platforms and software tools for leasing and property management.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Your anticipated graduation date is between 6 months to 1 year in the future.
- You have an interest in property management, hospitality, or business operations.
- You have reliable transportation to travel between local properties.
- You communicate effectively and are committed to creating positive guest experiences.
- You can prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining dependability.
- You demonstrate a commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, including weekends.
- Onboarding: Required training during the first week of June.
