About the role#
GreenStone Farm Credit Services offers a paid internship for students interested in agricultural finance. You will work directly with experienced Agricultural Lending Credit Analysts to learn about credit underwriting in the agricultural sector. This role involves supporting the Credit Leadership team on various departmental projects while gaining exposure to the financial services industry.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with an experienced Agricultural Lending Credit Analyst to gain insights into credit underwriting.
- Gather, analyze, and present critical data using internal systems.
- Input and analyze financial information using specialized software to support lending decisions.
- Stay informed on agricultural industries and national agriculture news to understand how they influence lending strategies.
- Provide support on departmental projects for the Credit Leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Sophomore status or above in your academic program.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn.
- An agriculture background or interest is preferred.

- Locations: East Lansing, Ann Arbor, Alma, or Bad Axe, Michigan.
- Term: February 2027 to August 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Compensation: Paid at $20 per hour.
