About the role#
The Process Engineer Co-op works on projects to improve process efficiency and productivity. You will collaborate with Production Superintendents, the Quality Manager, and other Process Engineers to support facility operations.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and optimization.
- Design and run chemical trials to increase quality and productivity.
- Assist with equipment start-up and optimization.
- Perform statistical analysis on finished product properties.
- Engage with customers regarding quality issues or special trials.
- Partner with subject matter experts to support Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Paper Science.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
