About the role#
This internship offers a look into the lumber industry and daily workforce operations. You will work with supervisors and staff across multiple departments to learn how our production facilities function. The role is full-time and based on-site in Abbeville, Alabama for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Learn production flow, scheduling, inventory accountability, treating operations, and lumber grading.
- Identify trends in plant processes and offer recommendations for improvement.
- Build management skills by leading and motivating team members.
- Apply company policies, safety rules, and regulations to support quality and production goals.
- Complete specific projects as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least a sophomore currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
