About the role#
Great Southern Wood Preserving is hiring a Management Information Systems Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This role provides hands-on experience in the lumber industry through real-world projects and training. The position is paid and full-time.
What you'll do#
- Learn through on-the-job training regarding the installation of hardware and software information systems.
- Support the IT help desk by answering calls to build customer service skills.
- Work with software developers to test new applications and features.
- Handle other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Sophomore status or higher.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site in Abbeville, Alabama.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- College course credit is available if applicable.
