About the role#
This summer internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience within the Information Technology Department in Salina, Kansas. You will work alongside a mentor and peers to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world tasks. The program runs full-time from mid-May to early August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Complete an assigned project relevant to the Information Technology Department.
- Perform general helpdesk duties to support department operations.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in organized intern events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, MIS, or a similar field.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management, organization, and planning skills.
- Clear communication skills and a positive approach to problem-solving.
- A team player mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to travel to other plants or facilities as needed.
Location & details#
- Location: Salina, Kansas.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (40 hours per week).
- Requirements: Valid driver license, reliable transportation, and willingness to live within commuting distance of Salina. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening. You must provide proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.
