About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer intern, you will join our team in Salina, Kansas, for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on a specific project related to the design process of agricultural equipment. You will be paired with a mentor and a group of peers to help you apply your classroom knowledge to real-world tasks. The program runs full-time, 40 hours per week, from mid-May to early August. We also host casual events throughout the summer to help you connect with other interns and employees.
What you'll do#
- Complete a project under the guidance of a mentor.
- Apply engineering principles to the design of agricultural machinery.
- Collaborate with engineers and production floor staff.
- Participate in summer intern events and community activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Ag Systems Engineering.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours before the internship begins.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- A positive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software is helpful.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Salina, Kansas.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- Housing is provided for interns living outside the local area.
- You will work a 4-day week, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
