Technical Design Intern

About the role#

This internship offers hands-on experience in pre-production development, quality assurance, and compliance within an apparel environment. You will support the Technical Design team to ensure that creative designs are accurately translated into high-quality, sellable products.

What you'll do#

• Verify artwork specifications for size, placement, colors, and print techniques against approved design files and tech packs.
• Review label artwork and packaging details to ensure branding and legal information is accurate and consistent.
• Inspect incoming pre-production and sales samples for accurate construction, fabric quality, and correct trims.
• Document and photograph defects or discrepancies in samples and communicate required revisions to vendors.
• Maintain and organize the physical sample library and digital files to ensure quick and accurate reference.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track sample status and share current product information.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an Apparel Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textiles, or related program.
• Knowledge of graphics, print methods, and textiles.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, is a plus.

• Location: Hoboken, New Jersey.
• Term: Summer 2026 through Fall 2026.
• Commitment: Part-time, 29 hours per week.
• Compensation: Paid hourly.
