About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Graco, you will work alongside our engineering teams to design, analyze, and develop solutions for fluid handling equipment. This role focuses on building practical skills in machine design, failure analysis, fluid mechanics, and problem solving. You will participate in the full lifecycle of product development and gain insight into our quality management systems and customer requirements.
What you'll do#
- Assist in new product development activities through design ideation and team collaboration.
- Provide hands-on support for project team prototyping and testing.
- Create test plans and perform testing to analyze designs against applicable standards.
- Use engineering analysis tools and techniques to evaluate design performance.
- Review instruction manuals and product literature for accuracy.
- Troubleshoot product issues in manufacturing, lab, or field environments.
- Develop and implement design solutions to resolve technical problems.
- Conduct tests and document analysis results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire for hands-on work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Rogers, Minnesota.
- The role is paid with a base pay range of $21.00 to $28.00 per hour.
