About the role#
As a Category Marketing Intern, you will learn through immersion within the Category Marketing team. You will support market research, competitive analysis, and go-to-market planning for an assigned category. The internship concludes with a presentation of your findings and project work to the Executive Leadership Team.
What you'll do#
- Gather data to support the development of a category roadmap.
- Conduct primary and secondary market research on an assigned category.
- Identify and organize information on target customer segments.
- Maintain consistency of product branding and messaging materials.
- Coordinate tasks related to product launch activities.
- Draft and organize messaging and positioning materials.
- Research potential product-related events such as trade shows and webinars.
- Collect and organize Voice of Customer data and customer feedback.
- Compile competitive analysis research to identify differentiation opportunities.
- Gather customer testimonials.
- Research market pricing trends.
- Track KPIs and compile performance data.
- Present your project work to the Executive Leadership Team.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore or Junior status pursuing a degree in Marketing or Business from an accredited university.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is desired.
