About the role#
This MBA Marketing Internship provides immersive experience within Graco’s Category Marketing team. You will lead a high-impact strategic project for an assigned customer segment, working under the mentorship of the Director of Category Marketing. This role is designed for candidates seeking a career in category marketing, product marketing, strategic marketing, or general management. The program concludes with a final presentation of your strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Lead a strategic project focused on a real business opportunity or challenge.
- Define project scope, conduct analysis, and develop recommendations in collaboration with a Category Marketing leader.
- Apply market research, customer insights, and business strategy concepts to address business questions.
- Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to identify industry trends.
- Analyze Voice of Customer feedback and other data sources to uncover key opportunities.
- Collaborate across product management, sales, channel marketing, and corporate marketing teams.
- Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to validate research findings.
- Build skills in strategic thinking, business analysis, and executive communication.
- Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and business discussions.
- Receive coaching and mentorship from marketing leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with an expected graduation date within 12 to 18 months of the internship.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize research into clear recommendations.
- Experience working in multi-functional or global team settings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including comfort presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive projects forward with limited day-to-day direction.
- Prior experience in marketing, business strategy, or vertical-specific market development is preferred.
