About the role#
Graco is looking for an AI intern to join our team in Dayton, Minnesota. This full-time, paid position focuses on the development, testing, and deployment of generative AI solutions. You will work alongside product managers, software engineers, and cloud architects to solve real-world business problems using LLM-based applications. This is a rolling internship program that includes a final presentation to showcase your contributions.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the full GenAI development lifecycle, including prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, testing, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain scalable LLM-based applications.
- Implement and optimize prompts for business use cases like content generation, document processing, and automation.
- Integrate foundation models such as GPT, Claude, and LLaMA into cloud-based production systems.
- Deploy and manage AI models on platforms like AWS Bedrock and OCI AI Services.
- Document prompt strategies, model configurations, and deployment workflows to ensure quality and reproducibility.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design LLM-powered solutions.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers and architects while researching the latest AI models and frameworks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI concepts, and foundation model architectures.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Transformers.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI) and AI services (AWS Bedrock, OCI AI Services, Azure OpenAI).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and LLM optimization.
- Understanding of API integration, microservices, and cloud-native development.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, using version control systems like Git.
