About the role#
We are looking for a creative Podcast Editor Intern to support The Dr. Gundry Podcast. You will work alongside our Creative Director and lead editor to produce content for YouTube and various audio platforms. This position is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone interested in the health and wellness space. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Edit weekly full-length podcast episodes, including multicam sync, audio cleanup, pacing, and graphics.
- Cut ~10-minute segment clips featuring strong opening hooks.
- Create 4 YouTube Shorts per week from episode footage, formatted for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Prepare and export audio versions of episodes for our partners, including ad read insertion.
- Manage video preparation tasks such as captions, chapter timestamps, and thumbnail drafts.
- Apply feedback from the creative team to refine edits.
- Organize project files and footage according to internal systems.
- Develop compilation videos from our back catalog as time allows.
What you'll need#
- 1 year of experience editing YouTube video in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of podcast structure and what drives viewer retention.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- High school diploma and current undergraduate coursework in a related field.
- Interest in health, wellness, and educational content.
- Basic experience with Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with After Effects, Adobe Audition, YouTube Studio, and color grading is a plus.
