About the role#
The Privacy Intern supports data protection initiatives by assisting with privacy impact assessments and evaluating how personal data is handled across business systems. You will partner with Legal, Cybersecurity, and Digital teams to monitor compliance, support digital privacy reviews, and help promote privacy awareness within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Participate in privacy impact assessments for new products, services, and business initiatives.
- Analyze how personal data is collected, used, shared, stored, and retained.
- Support ongoing monitoring to ensure technology use follows policies and obligations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess data collection practices and operationalize privacy requirements.
- Assist privacy engineers and operations teams with corporate compliance matters.
- Support digital compliance tasks, including website testing and cookie and tag scans.
- Create awareness materials such as slide decks and articles.
- Attend required intern events on a monthly basis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Knowledge of privacy and cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and regulations.
- Strong interest in data protection policies and processes.
- Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to express facts and ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to use AI tools like Microsoft Copilot for daily work, including evaluating outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted research, content generation, and integrating AI into workflows.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with high personal integrity.
- Tactful communication skills when working with different stakeholder groups.
- Auto finance or privacy-related experience is a plus.

- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 26 to August 6).
- Modality: Hybrid (2 days a week in the office).
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
