About the role#
GlobalFoundries is looking for a Reliability Test Engineering Intern to join the team at Fab 8 in Malta, New York. You will support the Reliability Engineering team in characterizing advanced technology. This role involves working on wafer-level and package-level testing, maintaining test programs, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and maintenance of test programs for new technology reliability assessments.
- Assist with reliability testing including HCI, BTI, TDDB, and EM.
- Run electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot equipment issues, and document findings for review.
- Support laboratory organization, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with FEOL, BEOL, and Product Reliability teams.
- Ensure all work follows safety and environmental programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor’s program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Preferred: Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or project management skills.
- Preferred: Coursework or lab experience in semiconductor devices, circuits, or electrical characterization.
- Preferred: Programming skills in Python, C#, C++, or Visual Basic.
- Preferred: Familiarity with electrical test equipment or probers.
- An interest in applying AI tools to streamline workflows.
