About the role#
The Quantum Technology Services team is looking for a Summer 2027 intern to assist with development activities across several quantum platforms. You will work alongside modality leaders and engineering teams to track project progress, coordinate experiments, and help ensure manufacturing readiness. This role requires on-site work and involves close collaboration with our Fab 8 and Fab 9 engineering organizations.
What you'll do#
- Track the progress of development lots across multiple quantum technology programs.
- Coordinate experiments, split lots, and characterization activities.
- Assist with customer demonstrations and help meet development milestones.
- Support readiness reviews for materials, tools, process flows, and metrology.
- Maintain execution dashboards and project status reporting tools.
- Identify schedule risks and share updates with team stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings with modality teams and manufacturing groups.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future programs.
- Support the closure of action items from technical reviews.
- Perform all tasks safely and follow all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Preferred: Prior internship or co-op experience and demonstrated leadership in school or work projects.
- Preferred: Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve workflows.
- Preferred: Skills in project management, planning, and organization.
- Preferred: Ability to work in research and development environments.
