About the role#
GlobalFoundries is seeking a Field Application Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will provide technical support to customers and assist with technology evaluations. This role focuses on helping customers achieve successful tapeout outcomes and design wins. You will work alongside subject matter experts to learn our technology offerings and ensure customer requirements are met.
What you'll do#
- Learn about GlobalFoundries technology features and how they differ from other solutions.
- Work with internal teams to match our technology with specific customer needs.
- Assist customers with technical evaluations and the execution of tapeouts.
- Draft technical documentation for customers that explains how our technology addresses market needs.
- Follow all safety, health, and security programs while performing your daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least a sophomore at the time of application.
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is required, and you must be in good academic standing.
- You must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- You are able to work at least 40 hours per week.

- This internship is located on-site in Austin, Texas; Richardson, Texas; or Santa Clara, California.
- The position is for Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
