About the role#
GlobalFoundries is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Intern for our Fab 9 location in Essex Junction, Vermont. You will join our team to help sustain and manage the fab floor, with a focus on resolving equipment and process issues. You will be assigned a specific project to lead to completion, which you will present at an end of summer poster session.
What you'll do#
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to support throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
- Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps.
- Lead equipment planning, selection, and configuration in coordination with process engineers.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize equipment performance, yield, and reliability.
- Perform hands-on, tactical troubleshooting to resolve performance issues and understand complex systems.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
