About the role#
Gilpin County is looking for a public health intern to document and standardize core operational processes. This is an unpaid practicum experience totaling 120 hours. The role is full-time and on-site in Black Hawk, Colorado.
What you'll do#
You will create and finalize standard operating procedures for public health programs. This work includes public complaint investigations, well water testing, emergency preparedness, septic system permitting, behavioral and mental health referrals, and communicable disease reporting. You will shadow staff, document current workflows, and translate these practices into standardized procedures for internal use.
What you'll need#
You must be currently enrolled in a public health graduate program.
