Greene County Public Health offers internships for students to gain experience in the field of public health. The program aims to provide a robust, hands-on learning experience that supports students in exploring various interests and career paths within the agency. Interns are assigned a preceptor to provide guidance and support throughout their time with the agency.
What you'll do#
- Participate in hands-on learning experiences across various departments.
- Explore interests related to health care, social services, food service safety, environmental safety, administration, management, business, information systems, epidemiology, finance, and public relations.
- Work under the guidance of an assigned preceptor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in public health, health administration, biology, sociology, or a related field.
- Ability to work in various health-related areas.
- Completion of a background check, which is initiated by the agency at no cost to the applicant.
