About the role#
Easterseals PORT Health is seeking an intern for our Facility Based Detox Center in Jacksonville. This role is designed to support your educational requirements while you gain practical experience in a professional clinical setting. You will work directly with adults managing mental health and substance use disorders.
What you'll do#
- Complete clinical rotations or a practicum as a member of our treatment team.
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling for clients dealing with behavioral issues or substance abuse.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation that meets both program and Medicaid standards.
- Assist with service provision, assessments, and progress reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Health and Human Sciences degree program, such as Psychology, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard internet applications.
- Ability to manage assigned projects through to completion.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of patient confidentiality.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is an unpaid, full-time internship.
- Scheduling is based on rolling availability to coincide with your school curriculum.
