About the role#
This internship is part of the Cell Culture Process Development group within the Biologics Pivotal and Commercial Organization. You will contribute to laboratory experiments for Gilead biologics programs, specifically focusing on Phase II/III and commercial development stages.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute laboratory studies in shake flasks and bioreactors to evaluate key seed train process parameters.
- Analyze experimental and historical process data to establish acceptable ranges for process parameters.
- Identify process risks and develop data-driven recommendations for platform standardization.
- Maintain a platform knowledge database that consolidates prior studies, historical datasets, and process learnings.
- Communicate findings through technical reports and presentations, including a final project presentation at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student in Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular and Cell Biology, or Biochemistry.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to managing competing priorities.
- Commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

- Term: Summer 2027 (10 to 12 consecutive weeks between May and August).
