About the role#
This internship offers a chance to join the Portfolio Strategy and Analytics team at Gilead Sciences. You will contribute to projects that support our mission while gaining experience in a research-focused environment. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of strategic frameworks to assist in decision-making.
- Review program and enterprise data to find key trends and areas for operational improvement.
- Work directly with the Portfolio Strategy and Analytics team and various cross-functional stakeholders.
- Help improve team efficiency by supporting ongoing workstreams.
- Practice active listening and communicate upwards to ensure alignment on goals and scope.
- Present your work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. college or university, with plans to continue full-time enrollment in the Fall semester.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to 10-12 consecutive weeks of full-time work between May and August.
- Independent authorization to work in the United States now and in the future.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, and Statistics.
- Advanced degrees such as MBA, PhD, or PharmD are preferred.
