About the role#
Gerdau is hiring for the G.Start internship program at our steel mill. This paid, full-time position focuses on professional development for students interested in future technical and managerial roles. You will work on specific projects while gaining experience in the steel industry.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the G.Start internship program.
- Complete project-focused work within the mill.
- Develop your technical and managerial skills.
What you'll need#
- You must be an undergraduate entering your Junior or Senior year.
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required, with a 3.0 or higher preferred.
- We look for well-rounded applicants who hold leadership roles in student organizations or extra-curricular activities.
- You must possess strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
- You must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.
