About the role#
This is an eight-month co-op or internship position for an Electrical Engineer. You will join the Reliability Team in Selkirk, Manitoba, for the term running from September 2027 through April 2028. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Update equipment and facility drawings.
- Assist engineers on capital expenditure improvement projects.
- Manage smaller non-capital projects.
- Support the electrical planner by planning jobs and ordering parts.
- Work with outside vendors and consultants.
- Assist in managing contractors.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of an Electrical Engineering degree from a recognized university.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5, with a preference for 3.0 or higher.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational qualities and a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and learn quickly.
- Experience with AutoCAD, PLC's, and automation is an asset.
- A history of leadership in student organizations or extra-curricular activities.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
