About the role#
Geosyntec Consultants is hiring an Intern or Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term at our Blue Bell, Pennsylvania office. This is a full-time, on-site role for 13 to 15 weeks. You will apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering projects and learn the business skills required for a career in consulting. We prefer candidates who can return for up to two additional semester rotations.
What you'll do#
- Perform fieldwork, including soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling or contractor oversight.
- Complete engineering calculations using technical software.
- Write reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Manage data input and analysis by preparing maps, tables, and figures.
- Collaborate with engineers, geologists, administrative staff, CADD operators, and construction personnel.
- Drive personal, company, or rental vehicles to reach project sites and other business locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program for civil, chemical, or environmental engineering.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Enrollment in upper-division or Master’s level coursework is preferred.
- Experience with ArcView, CADD, or Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Strong academic credentials and communication skills are preferred.
