About the role#
As a Forward Deployed Engineer Intern, you will join one of our technical pods focused on Product, Data, or Engineering. You will work directly with customers to solve real-world problems, meaning your work has a direct impact on the people using our software. We operate with a short feedback loop, and you will be expected to engage with customers and internal teams to drive solutions.
What you'll do#
- Sit within a product, data, or engineering pod to translate customer feedback into technical requirements.
- Build and debug SDKs, integrations, and APIs.
- Troubleshoot production issues in real time.
- Analyze identity, device, and behavioral data to identify patterns.
- Build dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
- Test and improve fraud detection models.
- Present your project impact to senior leadership at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate status.
- Demonstrated passion, hunger, and drive.
- Ability to navigate and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
- Engineering foundations, including the ability to read code (Python, Java, or Go preferred).
- Familiarity with system design, APIs, software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- SQL and Python fluency is required for the Data Science track.
- Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
- Product instincts, such as experience with user research, product lifecycle, user experience, or user analytics.

- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (approximately 4 months).
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
