About the role#
As an Intern Developer, you will join the team responsible for our internal test automation platform. Your work helps our developers ship software with confidence, ensuring that the systems hospitals and distributors rely on remain functional. You will contribute to the tools that catch problems before they reach our customers.
What you'll do#
- Build and enhance features for our internal test automation platform using React for the front end and Python for backend services and APIs.
- Write pytest unit tests, fix bugs, and refactor existing code.
- Build and maintain automated API, UI, and unit regression tests.
- Convert Playwright recordings into stable, maintainable UI tests.
- Contribute to reporting features, including dashboards, trends, and run-to-run comparisons.
- Use AI coding assistants in your daily development tasks to review and test output.
- Perform first-pass code reviews on merge requests and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Investigate test failures, report defects with clear reproduction steps, and document features and test coverage.
What you'll need#
- You are in the final year of a bachelor or master program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- You are available for a placement of at least two terms.
- You have solid knowledge of Python and React, with the ability to read and understand existing code.
- You have experience with Git and merge or pull request workflows.
- You have hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Kiro, or Copilot.
- You have strong attention to detail and clear written communication skills.
- Previous co-op terms with other companies are an asset.
