About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience within the Independent Store Owner (ISO) Sales Team at Genuine Parts Company. You will work on specific projects and initiatives, gaining insight into NAPA operations and sales management. The program is designed as a cohort experience, allowing you to connect with other interns, participate in training workshops, and engage with senior leadership. You will conclude the internship by delivering a final presentation on your work.
What you'll do#
- Explore sales management support and supporting operations within NAPA.
- Learn how cross-functional teams collaborate with customers to achieve business success.
- Identify and explain the business needs of the Customer, DC, and Sales groups.
- Gain exposure to Sales Effectiveness, Product/Category, and Field Sales teams.
- Apply leadership skills to improve the operational effectiveness of employees.
- Participate in formalized interactions with senior leadership and city-wide intern events.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.25 or above is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work independently.

Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Term: Summer 2027, from May 24 to July 30.
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
