About the role#
This is a summer internship focused on GRC and cybersecurity. You will work alongside our security teams to protect critical infrastructure and business data. You will gain hands-on experience in security operations, risk management, and incident response.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security systems and analyze events, logs, and alerts.
- Participate in security status meetings and prepare reports for managers.
- Collaborate with Security Architects to build and implement security solutions.
- Assist the team with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Document security incidents, findings, and remediation steps.
- Support IT teams with security controls and system configurations.
- Help with compliance initiatives and audit processes.
- Investigate potential incidents and escalate threats as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or BA degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of networking basics like TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- A basic understanding of Linux and Windows system security.
- Familiarity with common attack vectors and defensive practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
