About the role#
Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine offers a comprehensive, hands-on internship for recent graduates pursuing careers in the medical or healthcare sector. This full-time, paid position provides practical experience in both clinical and administrative functions, with opportunities for mentorship and shadowing the clinical team during surgical procedures. The role requires a commitment of 18 to 24 months.
What you'll do#
- Engage in a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to support orthopedic care.
- Room patients and collect detailed medical histories.
- Provide patient education and assist providers with physical exams.
- Learn medical billing processes and handle various administrative duties.
- Receive mentorship to support future matriculation into graduate medical education programs.
What you'll need#
- Recent graduation with a degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, Biomedical Sciences, or Biology.
- Demonstrated interest in a healthcare career.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to learn quickly in a clinical environment.
