About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for PhD candidates specializing in AI research and machine learning. You will work on projects that apply artificial intelligence to the insurance industry, helping to transform customer experiences and business operations. The program runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Solve real business challenges using your research and technology expertise.
- Contribute to technology initiatives and present your findings to senior management.
- Write high-quality, reusable code for scalable AI applications.
- Collaborate with associates and leadership to shape AI-driven insurance solutions.
- Participate in mentoring and coaching sessions with Technology Solutions management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics, with at least two years of the program completed.
- Demonstrated research experience through peer-reviewed publications or conference presentations.
- A strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts.
- Advanced programming skills for developing and prototyping AI solutions.

- Locations: Palo Alto, California and New York City, New York.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office).
- Employment Type: Full-time.
