About the role#
GE Vernova is hiring for a Power Systems Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on projects with real world implications and gain hands-on experience with digital technologies. This is a paid, full-time position based in an office setting.
What you'll do#
- Develop machine learning models, including deep neural networks and graph neural networks.
- Build smarter and more resilient energy systems by integrating power system concepts with AI and ML techniques.
- Use intelligent agent frameworks and vector databases to improve decision-making in grid software.
- Collaborate in teams to provide solutions to energy challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master or PhD program at an accredited university.
- A degree focused on Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant STEM major.
- Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

- The position is located in Bellevue, Washington.
- Work is required on-site at the office.
- The internship runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
