About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Co-op, you will support our Anesthesia and Respiratory Care (ARC) team. You will work on project-oriented assignments alongside a dedicated manager and mentor. This role provides hands-on experience in electrical engineering while you contribute to the development of life support systems.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate new technology for potential integration.
- Execute performance tests to ensure system reliability.
- Build and test hardware prototypes.
- Document feasibility results to support development.
- Develop subsystems for anesthesia and respiratory care products.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an Electrical or Biomedical Engineering degree program with an emphasis on Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work for a minimum of 28 weeks.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical problems clearly.
- Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Willingness to relocate to Madison, Wisconsin.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not provided).
- A 3.0 cumulative GPA or better is preferred.
- Prior experience in design engineering, manufacturing, or research is preferred.
