About the role#
GEHC Ventures is the strategic investing arm of GE HealthCare. We invest in early-stage companies building the future of precision care, including imaging, patient care solutions, pharmaceutical diagnostics, and AI-enabled software. As an intern, you will support the sourcing, diligence, execution, and management of strategic venture investments. You will work directly with the Ventures team to evaluate emerging technologies, analyze market opportunities, build financial models, and support portfolio company engagement.
What you'll do#
- Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and identify opportunities for follow-on investments, strategic engagement, or exit planning.
- Support the sourcing and screening of new investment opportunities.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, competitive dynamics, regulatory trends, and market opportunities.
- Develop and maintain investment theses, company profiles, pipeline databases, and market maps.
- Participate in due diligence across technical, commercial, regulatory, financial, and competitive dimensions.
- Build detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
- Support transaction execution by coordinating cross-functional input.
- Collaborate with GE HealthCare segment teams and portfolio companies to facilitate pilots, partnerships, and co-development initiatives.
What you'll need#
- MBA candidates or rising juniors and seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or life sciences.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Prior healthcare, finance, consulting, or startup experience is preferred for MBA candidates.
