About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience by working on technical projects that contribute to our business goals. You will partner with a mentor who will help you set specific objectives and expectations throughout your rotation. This role provides opportunities to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to real-world engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Work with your mentor to complete goals that support the business and your professional growth.
- Handle technical assignments in areas such as new product introduction, product improvement, modeling and simulation, advanced development, sourced products, software development, or our micro-factory, FirstBuild.
- Attend training sessions to improve your technical knowledge.
- Participate in networking and community volunteer projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to commit to two or more co-op rotations before graduation.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Relevant coursework and a genuine interest in engineering.

- This position is based in Louisville, Kentucky.
- The term runs from January 11, 2027, to May 7, 2027.
- This role is full-time and operates under a hybrid work model.
